Volunteering
Ongoing project
For one of my projects in Stage 3, I chose to create a new visual identity for Brian May's Save Me Trust.
Save Me has been helping animals and fighting for change for 12 years, but the lack of cohesive and attractive visual identity and a good marketing strategy is an obstacle for reaching a wider audience and creating bigger impact.
The main challenge was creating something that would be effective in raising awareness about their work in the eyes of the public and gathering more supporters. Because of the serious and urgent issues they are targeting, the language had to be direct and clear, showing the unfiltered reality of the problems affecting animals and how that could be changed if people came together.
Some pages from the brand guidelines document:
The new logo is more universal, showing the unity between humans and animals, and people's individual responsibility in protecting them. The color palette remained the same as it was the most effective match for the charity's tone and personality.
Examples of how the visual identity can be translated onto promotional items & printed materials to raise awareness:
As the charity doesn't have separate accounts on some social media platforms, I also created social media guidance along with post templates and a possible look.
The final redesigned website on different devices:
The new identity was created after researching the charity's history, target audience, motivations and campaigns, analyzing their current look and online engagement and identifying what needed to be made or improved.
This is what their old website and communications look like:
